The annual picnic will be at John Sell's Pavilion on June 3, Sunday, starting at 5pm. Bert Willis is cooking, again, and this year he will honor us with his famous "Low Country Boil". Be prepared to come and eat with your fingers and have a good time. Please bring a dessert with you, unless you are a guest (in that case- welcome, have a good time). Bring a friend, talk it up, be there and let's talk and catch up!
Directions: From the Ingles at !9/41, go south 3.2 miles on Hwy 41. Turn left on New Hope Rd.. Go .5 miles and look for signs on left. John's driveway is just past the antique store on left.

11/10/06- Partnerships claiming CUVA are scrutinized by the Tax Assessors Office- If you are involved in a partnership and are claiming the conservation tax exemption for acreage, you will be contacted by the Tax Assessors office to show and /or prove that you are eligible to receive the tax benefit. This ensures that the CUVA program is not abused and also that the county receives all the tax income it is due.
